I'm sorry, I'm sorry!! I know it's been a while since I posted but there have been a couple of reasons - I've been MEGA busy with work and real life being a bitch; I'm not getting to read as much as I'd like to so I've been concentrating on the big ones as they've been updating and, lastly, I've not really read anything new that I've found worthy of recommendation. Woah, yeah I really did just drop that fucking bombshell!!
Now that isn't to say that Twific has been crap, it's just I've had to wade through a lot of tripe (that *may* be a good old Scottish word!?!) trying to find something worthy of the rec. I should also point out that I've been intentionally avoiding those with hundreds of reviews and trying to find something a little less known in the fandom. That, my friends, is why it has taken me so long.
And fuck me if you guys aren't all over this shit! You certainly know a fucking good fic when you see it, and usually within the blink of an eye too haha. So fuck it, I've decided I don't care if something has got hundreds and thousands of reviews, if I like it, I'm just gonna go ahead and rec it anyway.
Since you've been so patient with me and to make up for the delay, I'm gonna give it to you three times tonight ;-)
First up we've got Purgatory: A Love Story by americanxidiot. It's only eight chapters in but we all know how good a writer americanxidiot is and honestly, I could have rec'd this after the first chapter. Fuck, I coulda rec'd this when I got the author alert cos I just know it was gonna be fucking awesome! I love the idea behind this and can't wait to see how things evolve both with Bella and Edward and the story itself. It's not your usual straightforward boy meets girl and they live happily ever after (eventually) kind of story either, there's some serious motherfucking plot going on here. Just take my word for it and go read it, you won't regret it!
Secondly, I've got another one that is still in it's infancy - 4 chapters so far - but it is garnering reviews like you wouldn't believe. Don't You Wanna Take A Ride With Me by stephk0525 features Professor Spin God as the sexy spin instructor who has Bella going weak at the knees, and not just with his workouts. I go to spin classes 3 or 4 times a week and I know how fit these instructors are so the thought of Edward as one of them is just too fucking hot for words. In fact, if he's looking to do a few more classes, I'm sure my gym could accommodate him...em what was I saying? Ah yes, *clears throat*. So Bella doesn't want to just jump into having sex with Edward which has stephk0525 doing a little bit of the old cockblocking but it's still hot, hot, hot - watch out for the sauna, that's all I'm saying ;-)

Before I start I should say I was a bit stuck for a fic rec last night, mainly because I'd spent all evening reading a completed multi-chap fic only to be completely disappointed with the "ending". Honestly, it was as if the author had thought to themselves "fuck this, I've written enough, where is that 'complete' button" about midway through. Anyway not going back there, it put me in such a foul mood - gah!!!!
Onto happier things and boy do I have a fic rec for you tonight! It's a little oneshot with serious potential for expansion - oh yes, PLEASE...
I digress. Told from Bella's POV, the way she describes Edward is enough to have you looking for clean knickers. I'm.Not.Joking. Now y'all know I loves me Tattward but phew this is Tattward and then some! From the sagging jeans to the hair. From the piercings to the ice cream. From the piano to the tattoos...WOAH *fans self* Poor boy doesn't stand a chance as TLIG has written a flirty little minx of a Bella too.
Now it's a One-shot at the moment so I'm not going to ruin anything trying to pull out quotes of the best bits, it's all the best bits. Oh no, this is way beyond that...it may only be a one shot at the moment (oh please phoenixhunter47 to be expanding on this?) but there's a story within it that stands on it's own and doesn't need to be expanded upon. And there's a twist too. In fact there's a twist-retwist going on - a holymotherofgodmyheartjuststopped kind of twist.

I didn't blog last night because I was so engrossed in Geek Love by SassenachWench. This is a recently completed multi chaptered fic and the characters, certainly in the beginning chapters before things get a little more serious, are haifuckinlarious! It reminds me a little of the humour from The Big Bang Theory but it's computer geek instead of science geek. Hey, I suppose if you're not a geek, it's all just gobbledegeek to you, eh? (I said gobble! *snorts*)
Now, as has become my want, I was reading this fic in bed last night on my laptop. Well poor old hubs wasn't getting any peace to read his book (nothing unusual there ;-) *snicker*). If I wasn't guffawing out loud, I was giggling away to myself, inbetween "let me just read you this bit, it's hilarious" comments.
I've got a couple of chapters to go and things have gotten a tad more serious but I'm absolutely glued and that's all your getting tonight because I want to go finish it!!

Something you should know about me is I have a really SHOCKINGLY BAD memory. How bad? Well let's just say that I've managed to read an entire book before and not remember I've read it already - until I read the last chapter and go 'oh fuck yeah, I remember that now'. You so know that means there's fics I've read more than once right? Not such a bad thing if it's a one-shot but a complete fucking pain in the arse of a waste of time if it's a multi-chapter fic!
Now, considering I've not been around the fandom that long, I seem to have acquired a shit load of fics in my favourites list but, and here's the thing, I've not even read some of them yet. Yes, I have been guilty of adding a fic into my favourites in the absence of FFn having a 'still to read' option. Maybe it's worse because of the whole lack of memory thing but that shit's just downright unworkable to me!
What's a h00r to do? I let my little inner geek come out to play and started myself up a lil old spreadsheet, that's what. Still a work in progress but I ran through all my favourites and highlighted the ones that were *actual* fuckawesome favourites so I can clearly see the ones I've not even read yet. Simples, no?
Oh yeah and, because of that, I've discovered a fic that I added AAAAAGES ago and hadn't started. This means my fic rec for tonight is being made based on no more than I added it to my to be read list and I'm gonna read it tonight - or at least make a start anyway! Tonight's rec therefore is No Place Like Home by Telling Me Lies - enjoy!!

Yeah so I'm a big believer in "start the year as you mean to go on" but I really don't know if even that covers things today! I took down my Crimbo deccies cos they'd been fucking me off since about Crimbo Eve or something - then decided that hubs hadn't had nearly enough attention this year so tempted him into a little bit of fuckawesomemidafternoonhothotlovin. Well. Fuck. Me. Gently. 2010 is gonna be a happy year if lazy afternoons continue like THAT!!
It's kinda spoiled me for a fic tonite tho, ain't no way I'm gonna find a lemon to rival the real life fuckfest today. Smugs?? Hellsyeah! Means I've no rec for a fic tho, let me know yours instead!!
As for the first footing - turns out hubs was our own first foot this year, we've had no visitors since getting back from our Hogmanay party in Glasgow. Just as well, they'da got more than an eyeful!!
